On Nov. 8, 2016, supporters gathered at Marriott Syracuse Downtown for the democratic election night party for congressional candidate Colleen Deacon. Deacon conceded to the incumbent, Rep. John Katko, scoring just 37.39 percent of the vote compared to Katko’s 58.53 percent.
