Have you resolved to do more cooking in 2014?

Vince’s Gourmet Imports, North Syracuse, started offering hands-on cooking classes late this year and is continuing them in 2014 with several that focus on regional Italian cuisine.

The setting is informal, and the goal is to share information and cooking techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the class, enjoy the featured dishes that you prepared and browse the extensive selection of Italian ingredients in the store. You will also receive printed recipes to take home with you.

    That's Italian: Cooking Classes at Vince's Gourmet ImportsClass themes and dates: Emilia-Romagna, Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26 (3:10 p.m.; $40 per person); Parmigiano-Reggiano Academy, Jan. 11 (4 p.m.; $20); Lombardy region, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 (3:10 p.m.; $40); and Calabria region, March 2, March 9, March 23 and March 30 (3:10 p.m., $35).
