Arts and Crafts
Stealing Scenes: An Illustrator’s Look at Shakespeare
A group of artists depicted passages from Shakespeare’s work, celebrating the bard’s 450th birthday last year. The exhibit went up in the Homer art center this past Monday, and the work will be on display until Nov. 30.
Stop by Center for the Arts tonight from 5-8 p.m. for the free opening reception. Members of the Homer Shakespeare Society will perform a scene from their production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Strathmore Artisans Arts and Crafts Sale
The Strathmore-based sale keeps growing and growing. The pre-Thanksgiving weekend event will be taking place at Bellevue Heights Memorial Church. According to the website, not all vendors will accept credit cards; be sure to carry cash and checks.

It all started in September (before “Shark Tanker” Daymond John graced Syracuse with his presence) when 40 Below sent out request for proposals to boast community engagement. Five have been chosen, and the ideas will be presented at the summit this evening at Everson Museum of Art. The winner, who will be chosen, will receive a grant worth up to $10,000.

Art Gone Wild! Reception, Sale and Auction

Hands-On Family Fun
Stop in to the local candy shop two Saturdays in November for free candy samples, free cider, free cookies and a free tour. Patrons will have an opportunity to help make candy canes by hand. A special coupon can be used on open house days only.

Skä•noñh Peace Center Grand Opening
