The International Boxing Hall of Fame, 1 Hall of Fame Drive in Canastota, pulls in some ringers for its 2011 induction ceremonies. Both real-life pugilist Mike Tyson (pictured, above, right, at his Hall of Fame showcase) and reel-life contender Rocky Balboa, alias Sylvester Stallone (pictured, top photo, with Talia Shire as his sweetie, from the 1976 blockbuster Rocky, now on MGM Home Video), are slated to appear at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, following a gala parade at 1 p.m. A batch of other events (think book signings, lectures and workouts) from Thursday, June 9, through Saturday, June 11, will precede Sunday’s main event. Maybe Sly will show up earlier in the weekend to catch his crooning brother Frank Stallone (above, left) in concert, on Friday, June 10, 8 p.m., at nearby Verona’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino Showroom, off Thruway Exit 33.
