To help get visitors in the mood for the Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony at Clinton Square on Friday, Nov. 27 (see Pick on page 2), check out the Landmark Theatre, 362 S. Salina St., for free musical performances from the Chittenango High School Choir and Spirit of Syracuse from 5 to 7 p.m. The Chittenango Choir also performs during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony at nearby Hanover Square
for a yule log lighting that’s free for all. Call 422-8284 for
information on either event. After the tree-lighting, the Landmark will
screen A Christmas Story at 8 p.m. Adults are $2, but children 12 and under are free; call 475-7980 for information. Also on Friday, the 24th annual Gingerbread Gallery (pictured) has its special debut from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Erie Canal Museum, 318 Erie Blvd. E., with Victorian-style gingerbread creations plus cocoa, cookies and music from Merry Mischief.
Admission for opening night’s festivities will be $5 for adults, $4 for
seniors, with $2 charged for children under 12. For information, call
471-0593, Ext. 15.
