Barbieri's Newsstand & Cigar Shop

.
. . . . . .

Antonio Barbieri giving a tour of the walk-in humidor.

The Barbieris set up shop next door to one of their four diners (Barbieri’s II) in an existing house which literally makes folks feel at home. This convenient location has plentiful parking. A long counter bristling with periodicals, snacks and lotto paraphernalia greets customers as they enter, but the real draw, of course, is the glass-walled walk-in humidor. A peek inside reveals shelves from floor to ceiling holding a dazzling array of ornate wooden boxes.

Macanudo, Oliva, Padron, Rocky Patel, Montecristo, Acid, coffee-infused Tabak Especial—if you think the brand names sound enticing, step inside and get swept up by the aroma. Take all the time you need exploring the variety; no one will stand over your shoulder. The staff is quick with tips for beginners and can accommodate the special requests of connoisseurs.

Once you’ve made a choice, stick around and enjoy it if you wish in the smoking lounge. It’s got everything you need: king-sized ash trays, leather recliners, a kitchenette; even a wall-mounted flat screen with a few channels you might not have at home.

Maybe you enjoy a good cigar. Maybe you’ve been dying to try one. Maybe you’ve been searching for a truly memorable gift. Whatever the case, try this place. Their selection, prices and attitude will make you glad you did.
