. . . for Jeff Glor, hunky reporter-anchor on WSTM-Channel 3 from 1997 to 2003, who was promoted to anchor of the Sunday edition of the CBS Evening News. Glor, whose CBS title is national correspondent, was dispatched to cover the Feb. 12 airplane crash in Clarence Center, and he mentioned on-air that he grew up in nearby Tonawanda.
. . . for campers, who will have six fewer facilities to choose from this summer, with their closure announced by the state Department of Environmental Protection. All six are in the Adirondacks and Catskills but apparently weren’t very popular, as they had occupancy rates of less than 20 percent.
