Make sure your dancing shoes have been broken in prior to attending this year’s Festival Latino Americano, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, and Sunday, Aug. 17, 1 to 10 p.m. each day in Clinton Square.
Along with a celebration of the cultural food, dance and music of
Caribbean and Latino Americans, you’ll have a chance to connect with
the local members of the Latin community’s outreach program, the
Spanish Action League. Headlining Saturday’s performances at 9 p.m.
will be Xtreme, a bachata group from the Bronx, while Tito Allen
will bring the sounds of salsa to Sunday’s stage at 9 p.m. Many other
performers will entertain throughout the day. Admission to the festival
