At the May 17 Syracuse Press Club awards ceremony, Arbital again took first-place honors in the Front Page Design category for the turkey takeoff, while Creative Services manager James Rutkey shared first-place honors for his Front Page Design for an article on the Syracuse International Film Festival. Again, Dinsdale was top dog in the Non-Daily Sports Story category for the McNamara piece and Davis ruled all in the Best Sports Photo category for the Boeheim shot. In addition, contributor James MacKillop placed first in the Print Critique category and our Web site team took home first place in the Photos portion of the Internet competition for a slide show of Davis’ pictures of a peace rally.

And finally, the Free Community Papers of New York awarded us first place in the following categories: Best Single Ad, Color and Best Writing for “Peace Signs” by Ed Griffin-Nolan. A second-place award went to Best Single Ad, Color.
