A Little Night Music

.
. . . . . .

Another star-filled night will charm classical music fans during this weekend’s Candlelight Series in Armory Square, when Syracuse Opera will present selections from Carmen, Rigoletto, La Boheme and other favorites. On Saturday, Aug. 2, 8 p.m., tenor Marc Schreiner, mezzo-soprano Katherine Calcamuggio, baritone Jimi James and soprano Kathleen Magee
will get in on the action, all to promote the opera company’s upcoming
season. Prior to the concert at 7 p.m., Jamesville-DeWitt High School
graduates Andrew King and Katie Weber will sing their hearts out to the music from The Barber of Seville and Songs For a New World, with piano accompaniment from fellow J-D musician Steven Seigart. Admission is free. For more information, call 471-4601.
