”Oooohs!” and “Aaaahs!” will populate the aural landscape in Central New York when Independence Day fireworks
blast holes in the nighttime sky this week. Check out glitter falling
from the clouds, to commemorate the day the American colonists told
English management to pound salt in 1776, at the following locations
and dates: Ithaca College, 953 Danby Road, Ithaca, July 2; Brewerton, between Route 11 and Interstate 81, July 3; Village of Manlius, Fayette Street, July 4; Baldwinsville, Paper Mill Island, Syracuse Street, July 4; Oswego County Fair, off Exit 37 on Interstate 81, Sandy Creek, July 4; State Fairgrounds, Geddes Street, July 4; Baldwinsville,
Mercer Park, July 5. Admission for viewing fireworks is as free as
France’s fries and the country that loves them most. Contact respective
town offices for more information.
