Skaneateles’ Creekside Books and Coffee, 35 Fennell St., will host a book signing with award-winning local author Laurie Halse Anderson on Saturday, June 7, 1 p.m. Anderson is originally from Potsdam and attended Onondaga Community College; her young adult books have been praised for her insight into adolescent life, creating spot-on stories about high school popularity struggles and real-life teen issues. Speak, Anderson’s most well-known novel, was adapted as a made-for-TV movie on the Lifetime network in 2005. The novelist will discuss her latest endeavors, then offer up her John Hancock at Creekside. Admission is free. For more information, call 685-0379.
